Bring in the New Year with this empowering and rejuvenating week of deep, healing Yoga with Gopi, accompanied by Gaura Vani and the transformative and uplifting sounds of sacred Kirtan. Featuring a mega New Year’s Eve party with Jai Uttal and Shiva Rea.

Allow the clear blue waters of the Pacific Ocean to cleanse your body and mind. Surf the waves; commune with the natural elements; bring renewal and rejuvenation. This is the perfect retreat to reflect on the previous year and let go of the stagnation and congestion of the past.  It’s an opportunity to look back, and objectively understand your past challenges, and use them as a tool to create positive transformation.

Let the breath, cleansing asana, the waters of the ocean, and the timeless, sacred sounds of Kirtan, be a gentle healing massage to your central nervous system.

This retreat will feature:

• New Year’s Eve Party with Shiva Rea and Jai Uttal.
• Deep Purifying, two and a half hour, flowing asana practices with live music.
• Meditation and Pranayama that will create a fertile ground, so that the seed of devotion can grow in the heart.
• Soak up the Healing rays of Surya, the Sun in a beautiful, tropical environment.
• Other adventure and water activities available in immediate area such as: Surfing – an exploration of balance, concentration and finding a way to harmonize the water elements in the body, with the body of universal water – The Ocean.

Nosara is located in Costa Rica’s beautiful Guanacaste province, in the Nicoya Peninsula, Nosara is approximately 100 miles west of San Jose, on the coastal road that connects Tamarindo to Samara. This area is famous for its clear skies and phenomenal weather. Constant sea breezes cool the landscape, and legendary sunsets will enchant you. A little bit farther than other, more developed, Costa Rican coastal towns, Nosara’s pristine beauty will capture you the moment you arrive and reward your extra effort with its incomparable magic.

Pristine, unspoiled, tropical beauty is what best describes Nosara. Imagine miles upon miles of spectacular white sand beaches. This is where the very best of Costa Rica comes alive: stunning sunsets, one of the largest nesting grounds in the world for the Olive Ridley turtle, the sunniest skies in the country, birds, iguanas, monkeys–a naturalist’s haven.

Explore on the jungle trails, surf in any of several world class breaks, swim in gentle coves, comb the beach for an infinite variety of shells, play in fisherman’s paradise, relax in a hammock surrounded by tropical jungle where monkeys play in the trees and parrots, toucans, wild orchids, bromeliads and other exotic plants and wildlife abound.

We will be staying at the beautiful Hotel Cafe De Paris located in the heart of Nosara.

Registration fee includes accommodations at Cafe de Paris and yoga and kirtan classes. Flights, ground transport, meals and surf lessons are additional. Single Rooms or Deluxe accommodations available. Please contact us for any and all assistance.

There are two options to travel to Nosara.

Option 1: Fly to Liberia, Costa Rica airport (Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport) and then take a taxi to Nosara. The taxi takes about 2.5 hours and costs around $150. We will be gathering arrival times of the attendees to coordinate ride sharing.

Option 2: Fly into San Jose and then get a small internal flight from San Jose to Nosara. There are two main flight carriers: Sansa Air (www.flysansa.com) and Nature Air www.natureair.com). Please note that Nature Air flies from a different airport in San Jose (about a 20 minute taxi ride) . The cheapest  price for the internal flight is around $60 dollars one way with Nature Air. When booking tickets to San Jose make sure that they land at an appropriate time to catch the domestic flights to Nosara. There are only two domestic flights to Nosara from San Jose per day; 9.30am and 2pm.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Rooms are shared by two persons and are included in your retreat fee. If you need to upgrade we have a variety of options.

Upgrade to an unshared Room for an additional $300 per person.

(Please note that our retreat will be during peak season and accommodation prices will be higher then what is listed on Cafe de Paris’ website)

MEALS

Café de Paris is located in the heart of town surrounded by restaurants and cafés. There are also market places to obtain fresh fruits and vegetables. The first night we will have a special vegan/vegetarian group dinner which is included.

Yoga classes and kirtan workshops will be held at the Nosara Yoga Studio. Some kirtans will be held on the beach.

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY

To make a reservation, a  non-refundable deposit of $300 per person must be submitted by November 15, 2009. The $300 deposit will be refunded in the event of a cancellation, only if the cancellation request is submitted before October 15, 2009. Final payment must be received by November. 30th, 2009. After this date, the deposit is not refundable. Payments are non-refundable after this date.
