Gaura Vani & As Kindred Spirits plus the Mayapuris are honored to participate in this years InterFaith Concert organized by the InterFaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington. Here is more on the event from the organizers:

"The InterFaith Concert is our annual “Celebration of the Sacred in Song, Dance and Chant.” For 30 years, audiences have been inspired by the musical talents of choral groups, chanters, bell choirs, and dance companies representing all of our member faith traditions. The concert is held each November and is hosted annually by one of the three largest house of worship in Washington, D.C. – the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Washington Hebrew Congregation and Washington National Cathedral.

Tickets for this year’s performance are available at two price levels. Reserved tickets are $30 each, $25 each for groups of ten or more. General admission tickets are $15 each, $12.50 each for groups of ten or more and $18 at the door on the night of the performance.

One significant highlight of each year’s concert is the annual honoree(s), chosen for their contributions to the Washington, D.C. community. Past honorees of the annual InterFaith Concert include James Walsh, Joseph & Lynne Horning, Alexine & Aaron Jackson, Dr. Diane Sherwood (posthumously), Elizabeth Campbell, H. Robert Linowes, Austin Kiplinger and Richard Snowdon.

Our concert has become a model for interfaith concerts in other cities, notably Hartford, Connecticut, Tucson, Arizona, Columbus, Ohio and Richmond, Virginia."

  1. Very interesting article post. Your post is very interesting. I enjoyed this post. This blog post is fantastic! I have to say that after continually reading poor as in, same old material, little quality content, etc. article posts on other sites, it’s pleasant to actually read something that has some thought put into it. It’s a pleasure to read good blog posts, especially after continually seeing rehashed crap that writers and bloggers are putting out nowadays. It’s always nice when I come across content that actually has value, I’ve been seeing a ton of subpar writing attempts recently. Anyhow, thanks again and I’ll check back frequently to see what else you have to offer. I’ll check back in the future to see what else you have up your sleeve. Keep up the fantastic work! BTW, I like your site design, but your header image was only loading half way for me. P.S. Your header is messed up a bit in IE. The problem could be on my end but I thought you might want to look into that.

  2. Hi this is amazing site! really perfect and it will be a new inspirations for me
