In August/September each year, Krishna devotees all over the world celebrate his birthday with feasting, kirtan, games and more. In our non-residential weekend course at the Bhakti Center (25 1st Ave, Manhattan), and other sweet spots around the city, we'll teach you how to wear traditional Indian festive clothes (sari and dhoti); some elements of singing, kartals, drums and harmonium; sacred temple dance; how to cook delicious Indian snacks, and explore the fantastic story of Lord Krishna's life through drama, dance and lots of kirtan. Everyone who comes gets a sari and dhoti to take home with them and we're expecting some special surprise guest teachers. More details will be posted up soon on our website.
