As Kindred Spirits

Spirits at Burning Man

The time is fast approaching for our first trip (for most of us) to Burning Man.

What is Burning Man you ask? It is the most insane art, music, culture, party festival/city held annually in a salt-flat desert in Nevada. Around 60 thousand people attend bringing along all sorts of art, sculpture, structures, ideas, costumes and attitudes making it one very memorable experience.

For a sense of scale, see this:

Our friends with Krishna Camp starting going out in 2006 and after watching this video that they created, we just had to see it for ourselves.

We will be spreading Kirtan and love around the Playa (the desert). We will be staying at the Entheon Village so if you are out there, swing by jam with us. Burning Man starts August 25th and ends September 1st. We’ll be posting photos and what not when we get back.

Los Angeles Ratha Yatra Photos

Just got in from Los Angeles for our annual show at the Ratha Yatra. This year was amazing. The weather was perfect albeit a little hot, and the people were rockin’ out. Check out these photos.

(Our field recorder has gone out of commission so we are working on obtaining another one so you can listen to all our shows. More MP3s to come…)

Photos from Studio Serenity

We had an amazing show at Studio Serenity. The atmosphere was perfect, the crowd was amazing and the music was spectacular. At the last minute our dear friend and bass player, Akincana Krishna took a bus down from NYC just to be at the show. Then straight from the show he caught the China town express bus back to NYC in order to make it for another gig he had to be at. Thanks so much Akincana!

We are so happy to be able to spread the music and love. It’s such an amazing feeling to be able to spread the joy of Kirtan. As you can tell from the photos, everyone was feeling it. So without further ado…

Check back for some MP3s of from the show.
