New Vrindavan 24 Hour Kirtan 09

The event we’ve all been waiting for. The third annual 24 Hour Kirtan in New Vrindaban. This year promises to be even bigger and better than before.

What is the 24 Hour Kirtan Festival?

The New Vrindaban 24 Hour Kirtan Festival started in 2007. The idea is to chant the Hare Krishna Mahamantra continuously for 24 hours, as is done in Vrindavan India 365 days a year. Featuring some of the world’s most respected Bhakti chanters, the festival is open to all. Scroll down to hear recordings from the first two years.

Who’s Singing?

A complete list of singers will be put up within a few weeks. Currently confirmed artists are Madhava das (Switzerland), Ananta Govinda das (NYC), Acyuta Gopi devi (NYC), Gaura Vani das (Washington DC), Visvambhar das (Florida), Ajamila das (Toronto), Keshavacarya das (NYC) with many others about to confirm.

Dates

This year’s Festival will be held during the Summer Solstice, June 20th – 21st 2009. Kirtans start at 8 AM Saturday the 20th and ends 8 AM Sunday the 21st.

Tickets

The Kirtan is free! However, feeding the expected 1,000+ participants does have its costs. Meals for Friday night, Saturday and Sunday Morning are available for a small donation of $30. Children under 10 are exempt.

Pre-register and receive $5 off the meal plan.

Limited accommodations are available at the Palace Lodge – 304-843-1600 Ext. 111.

There is also lawn space for tent camping. Bathrooms and showers are available through the Lodge. Please contact the Lodge if you plan to camp.

   WOW! for two years now i have been missing your friendship and kirtans.the recordings i have heard(and seen)on the web are very inspiring and i am so glad that you and the other kulis are doing such a good job.i really want to come to N.V.this year for the 24-hour festival.i am in key west right now visiting my father and trying to save some money,lord willing i will be able to come.
