the magic of story and song

G A U R A V A N I I S A S T O R Y T E L L E R A N D A M U S I C I A N

For two decades, he has toured globally and released multiple albums, sharing the stage with artists like Jai Uttal and Krishna Das. His collaborations include As Kindred Spirits, a fusion of East and West rooted in bhakti; and The Hanumen, a soulful quartet combining world percussion, chant, and harmony. He also performs with The Juggernauts, bringing high-energy kirtan to festival audiences.

Gaura’s music has echoed through the halls of major festivals like Lollapalooza, Floyd Fest, Bhakti Fest, Omega Ecstatic Chant, and Wanderlust, as well as temples, opera houses, yoga studios, and sacred spaces around the world. His discography includes Ten Million Moons, and Leaps and Bounds, each offering a rich landscape of devotion and rhythm.

Whether through intimate gatherings or global stages, Gaura Vani’s music is an invitation for the heart to sing.

Gaura Vani is also a father and a traveler. Circling the globe for the last twenty years he’s collected stories and songs to heal the heart, soothe the soul, and rock this crazy rock we call home.

Gaura’s life itself reads like a storybook. He was raised by monks in temples from the age of four, immersed in the magic of mantra and ritual as a part of daily life. In his teens he rebelled and went on to become an actor in Hollywood appearing in films with the likes of Michelle Pfifer, Denzel Washington, Ethan Hawke and others.

Starting from his first rock and roll band in high school, he’s produced and recorded 10 albums and thousands of songs.

QUANTUM RETREAT ‘27 GovardHan Eco-Village, India

“Imagine this: wandering through the lush gardens and tranquil temples of Govardhan Eco-Village, stepping straight into the living heart of my spiritual teacher, Radhanath Swami. I know, it sounds mystical. That’s because it is.”

For two luminous weeks, we’ll explore the living tradition of Bhakti. We’ll visit sacred spaces hidden in the forest—each one alive with stories of Krishna. These aren’t tales that stay on a page; they breathe, sing, and move through us.

This retreat is an invitation into our family. You’ll sit with my mother, Rukmini, whose wisdom is the foundation of my life, and with my teacher, Radhanath Swami. Along with beloved friends and guides, these are the voices that shaped my world and are ready to welcome you into theirs.

Come with me. Pack light. Bring your curiosity. This journey may just shift the axis of your life.

Gaura sang with the nurses at Breach Candy Hospital and Bhaktivedanta Hospital in Mumbai. They were so happy to have the music in this stressful place. They call the nurses “sisters”, and they come from different places in India and different backgrounds. Some are Christian and some are Hindu. Gaura sang both mantras and songs in English.
